Reed Spline for Cane Webbing 5mm per 5 Metres
Details
The spline that pins webbing into its rebate. Buy the right width, and if you are not sure, send us a photograph of the groove.
We sell the materials because people kept asking and because nobody else would tell them what to buy. Two things go wrong with a cane repair. People buy the wrong pattern, because six way and herringbone look similar in a photograph and completely different on a door. And people glue the spline in over the old one instead of chiselling the groove out, which holds for about a year. If you send us a photograph of the panel and the groove we will tell you what you need, and we would rather do that than sell you the wrong thing.

- Fitting instructions included with every order
What you get
- The material as described

Care
Store it flat and dry. Cane that has dried out for years will still soak back and become workable, so an old roll is not a wasted roll.
Where it works
Not a styling question. This is the material that keeps a hundred year old chair in use rather than in a skip, which is the most sustainable thing in this shop by a considerable margin.
